The Norwegian Wagner Society was founded the 22nd May 2008 in Oslo. The organization had at the end of 2009 appr. 40 members.
The membership fee is NOK 200/year and the annual meeting is held the 22nd May every year.
The object
The Norwegian Wagner Society object is to spread knowledge and interest for the art of Richard Wagner through directed studies and social events.
International
Wagner Societies worldwide have appr. 37000 members and have existed since Wagner was living. The Norwegian Wagner Society is connected to the "Internationaler Wagnerverband in Bayreuth".
